Or you could cut $100 or so off the price and use bar end shifters. They cost less than STI and you don't need to replace you front derailer.

Or you could go even cheaper, buy the 'drop' bar ends and add brake levers to them.

Actually, run a pair of the Tektro V-brake road levers on them, with interrupters on the flats, that would be pretty cool.
