No one said Flatballer couldn't get to Cat 1. I said he could not do it without genetic gifts. To get to Cat 1, you've got to be placing very high in Pro 1/2 races. At least around here, you've got to be finishing ahea of a number of Pro's to even get an upgrade point.

And I'll stand by my assertion that you don't do that without some level of natural talent. In other words, if you take someone without some level of natural ability they can train as hard and as smart as humanly possible and they will not become a Cat 1.

That doesn't mean that Flatballer doesn't have the requisite talent. If he works hard enough and stays at it, he'll find out whether he does. But its delusional to think anyone can make it to Cat 1, merely by working at it.
