Yesterday I was riding along a somewhat busy main way, in the HOV lane. It was Sunday and HOV was not in effect, so cars were allowed to park in the lane.

I had a space margin about of about a meter between the parked cars. I had a close eye out for cars coming out or people opening swining open the doors.

There was a bit of a hidden driveway which I may have missed, and as soon as I passed it an idiot SUV driver that wanted to come out honked and startled me.

Now what's the deal with that? If he had come out so recklessly as he was about to, then he would have the same chance of hitting an on-coming car as hitting me on my bike.

But noooooo... he had to honk because I was on a bike and made him slam the brakes.
