Well, the 90's Mtn Bike boom. Four of them were sucked in during this upswing. Rode for a few years and hung the bikes up in the garge. But they now understand the fun factor, even if they have become slugs again. And 2 just got fat, real fat, and had to find something to whittle down the spare tires they had developed. They have continued their cycling and now ride both on road and off. The real success here, is now when I pop in at the Trading Post, I don't even get a nod or wink. Now if I run into them, they ask questions like, "that a new Bike?" or "how far did you go today?" My behavior is no longer looked at as bizarre but is accepted as just another way to enjoy the great outdoors we have in this part of the country.
