Ok, I'm that other guy in bremerton..

I was going to come see what was wrong with your brifter the other day, but this looks like a fun challenge too! Kpug pointed out most of my concerns, the biggest being the bottom bracket, brakes and cable stops- all of which will likely need to be bought or found. I have the rest of the week off though to work on this!

The bottom bracket, brake reach and rear wheel spacing are also most likely gonna need some attention as I believe the Bianchi has a 70mm BB shell vs. 68mm for the Nishiki as well as 126mm rear wheel spacing vs. 130mm and the Nishiki likely used 27" rims vs. 700c which will affect the brake reach. I don't think it's gonna be cut and dry.....Doable but not a simple swap.
I wouldn't feel to horribly bad about taking that Bianchi apart. It will get put back together by someone and ridden.
