Just a though looking at the photo. I have never biked that area.
I can often do this quite easily since after I scoot around the traffic blocking the intersection, the rest of the vehicles going in the same direction as me (well, the ones on my right anyway) are still blocked, leaving the street free and open for me to cut back across multiple lanes.

It gets tricky though sometimes when I miscalculate how much cross traffic there is, and the intersection clears quicker than I expect. I still want to get over to the right, but motorists in general, and particularly at this intersection, are in full attack mode, and it's hard to merge right again. My best strategy is usually to pick a car close to me and ride its rear bumper as close as I can, and merge that way.

One other point: there actually is no bike lane after getting past that intersection. The bike lane ends there. I do still usually ride over on the right though because the right lane is wide and usually has plenty of room for bikes.
