However, i don't consider Cambridge, Boston, or any of the other boroughs here independent from the rest. One certainly does not escape the tradition of corruption or apathy towards traffic infractions just by stepping over the imaginary line that divides them. Maybe it's due to coming from out of state, but when i talk about "Boston", i am referring to a region, Boston metropolitan area, not a political entity.

Which has nothing to do with this thread except that it originated as a rant. I'll retire from it so as not to muddy it with ranting.

BU bike lane sufferers, you have my sympathy.
