try taking a whey protein shake with you, somewhere between 20-35g of whey protein (a scoop-1.5 scoops, typically.)
25 minutes into your ride, drink half of it.. when boarding the train maybe.
Finish sipping on the drink before you get back on the bike to finish your commute.
Whey protein is know to suppress appetite/ hunger. It should digest easily allowing you to ride without having to digest a heavy bfast.
try it once or twice and if it doesnt help, then screw it.
I know Hammer uses soy protein in their Perpetuem product, claiming it helps keep hunger pangs at bay. It seemed to work during a brevet series last year... just another thought.
That's a good suggestion; I actually thought of that. I broke one of my bottle holders, so I'll give it a go when I get that replaced
