I really like the cetmas, all the custom jobbies, the nittos etc, but damn, they're expensive! The cut-down Wald really seems like a hot option for a big flat deck rack. I've got a Wald giant size delivery basket that I love, my wife's large front rack (heh...) looks like it would make an excellent candidate for a reasonable sized flat rack, it's a little smaller and cheaper and looks easier to mod.

The wood slats on the front pannier rack looks rad too, I bet you could retain the pannier capabilities if you wanted to as well. Hmmm...

Oh man I want Melinkovitch to make me a custom. Ken, does your rack carry panniers as well? It really looks like a nice design, functional and pretty even with that bottom loop.
