I'd take the corner more cautiously, I can see a
technical difference in riding with lower pressures, but there are so many factors in your accident that could've made you slip out that it's really hard to say.
I'd personally keep the pressures up on them and just not bank over as much, lower pressures are for fat tyres in the snow/sand/mud or tubulars IMO
Tyres, I run a Vittoria Rubino Pro 700x23 on the back and a Vredestein Fortezza SE (also 700x23) on the front, I run the front around 95/100psi and the Vittoria can take up to 140/145 so I go for 110/115. I haven't ran the Vittoria for long, but used to use Continental Ultra Sport kevlars, but the two blowout flats I've had with them have ripped the tyre (between seam and tyre wall) so I'm trying something new now.
