Good god does anyone ever almost get hit by a small compact, hybrid, scooter, you name it? just seems like they have to prefice thier remarks with the SUV deal to justify whatever it is thier about to say.
Then again it could just be me...sorry for the rant folks..back to your regular scheduled hatin'
SUVs have some massive blind spots. I remember when I first started driving I was in an explorer and an entire Beetle crept up in my blind spot during a light. That could explain the over representation of SUVs. Also: SUV drivers tend (at least out here) to be pretty damn oblivious to the road around them. People buy SUVs to feel safe in the event of a crash and then forget that they can actively prevent them.
