the situation where anti-lock brakes take the cake in cars is in wet braking and corning, and they work wonders.

But on a bike, if you hit the threshold of the anti-lock brakes kicking in, it will be too late and your front is going to be sliding out from under you.

And a proficient rider regardless of the conditions will be able to stop just as fast with regular brakes.
