several people at my work have expressed interest in cycling, and like my SS - on the same block is an LBS that carries Schwinn, great guys -- it'd be nice to be able to recommend a bike that's not too far out of the price range they would expect to pay for a bike (not being avid cyclists)




also, believe it or not, I don't think hi-ten steel is the worst thing in the world - plenty of perfectly serviceable hi-ten frames of tolerable weight out in the real world, being used every day - the Cutter is simply heavier than it needs to be, if you ask me (and you did)
