FWIW- after my own impromptu hotwater test last night, I may keep the stainless Oxo, link here: http://www.google.com/products?q=Oxo...&hl=en&show=dd

But the Target version of the Contigo Extreme was definitely inferior at keeping things hot- after a few minutes the stainless steel exterior got warm, then semi hot, and after 2 hrs, water was definitely cooler in the Contigo than the Oxo. And be warned that the Oxo is good, but not up to honest-to-goodness thermos bottle heat retention. So the Contigo goes back next time I go to the big city. Right now I'd call it about 85% that I'll keep the Oxo.

I may get a Thermos-Nissan Stainless "Backpack Bottle" instead- it seems to have a good combination of thermos bottle & travel mug characteristics, & almost everyone who owns one seems to love it. Link: http://www.amazon.com/Therrmos-Nissa...4742717&sr=8-1
I only need it to stay hot for 15 minutes!
