Jared, that is really pretty. I didnt know they had black Miche Advanced cranks. I've been really happy with the Miche Primatos as well as their cog carrier system thus far.
And the saddle nosed down is to accommodate the saddle to bar drop and it is necessary to well, not lose function as it is. It is what fits/feels right and not for style points.
