In case you can't find a 28.6 adaptor, you can use the original or a 6-8 speed front derailer. I never changed the derailers on my C'dale when I went from 7 speed to 9 speed, worked fine.
BTW, I had a 330 briefly. Took it on a short ride before I sold it. Like so many of those Trek steel frames it had a great ride. The only reason I sold it was the size was not correct for me. If it had been my size, I'd now have three steel framed Treks.
