Have you taken off the downtube shifters to make sure those cable stops will fit? Recently I wanted to convert my '86 Centurion DS Ironman to STI and when I took off the downtube shifters I saw that the braze-ons were specfially shaped to only accept DT shifters.
PM'd you the fix for that. Hint: black plastic DT cable stops, Dremel tool, 15 minutes.
