Agreed re the "green" bike routes. Anything that's not a Class I bike path you ride at your (very high) risk.

I thought there was another map out there that identified routes in LA County "uncomfortable" for biking -- I saw it at a LBS (Cycle World) but haven't been able to find it online. Maybe it's not a LA Metro map? Has anyone else seen this? It looked pretty helpful also.
