Last night I went to see the
Amsterdam Six Days for the second year in a row. Last year we were seated in the tribune, right by the start/finish line. This year we were on the banks, which meant that we could get pretty close, even if the tickets were technically not as choice.
Apologies in advance for the quality. Digital point and shoot cameras, in low light, with fast paced action, don't produce the best results.
So, on to the pics.
We arrived in the midst of the Madison.
In the orange shirt is
Joan Llaneras, looking for Paolo Bettini.
There's Cricket, on a typically understated bike.
Leif Lampater (in black) about to get a sling from Eric Zabel.
After that round of the Madison was over, the sprinters came out.
Theo Bos, and team mate, in the team sprint.
A British guy, whose name I forget. He and his partner won.
Then, there was the Women's event, starring Marriaane Vos.
