You're saying the computer was sold seperately from the bike, to a different cusomer, right? That's what 'out of a box' means?

Then they probably got a deal = no warranty. You want good customer service, don't buy gray market ****.

Even if it was the guy who bought the bike... the shop should have dealt with it, i.e. stand behind their sale, or not have put the bike out on the floor for sale with a defective part.
