I commute twice a week (29 miles to work). Been riding with these Lake shoes and Keo's for a couple years (same cleats) and the cleats show almost no wear. Added plus--they are much easier to walk around in than regular road shoes, and stops at lights are more sure-footed. They are a bit heavier, but for commuting I really don't care about an extra couple ounces.
