Ravenmore, I used the old Time pedals (2 piece cleat) years ago and snapped 3 of them off and crashed 2 of those times. The local Time rep told the shop to buy me whatever brand I wanted (Look).
I used the Looks for years and found that the aftermarket cleats like those from Torelli wear faster and rougher than the Look cleats.
My ex-wife used Looks during that same time and she wore the cleats a lot faster than I ever did, I think from pushing off.
That could be - I have to push off a lot as I have to start on inclines quite a bit. Sometimes I have to kick several times to get going.
