This ride is just all rollers. Push downhills. Push uphills. Gotta keep up that momentum.
After I got home my sister called and asked if I wanted to participate in this public art event on Federal Hill. "yeah, sure", I said. LOL !! It involved climbing up and down the front steep section of the hill. Oh yeah, and crabwalk too.

I really can't believe I did that no more than 45 minutes off the bike. My legs are toast.
Good ride though. 112 miles total. ~16 ave.
BTW If anyone else does this ride they should definitely stop at the bagel shop on Patrick st., get a salt bagel with crystal-meth spread. It lasts for miles.

Josh-That sucks, we've all bonked, easy to do. I'm probably like you in that I don't really get hungry while riding. I go right from fine to bonk. With that said, I need to eat lots because I'm big, still 198-200 lbs, so I force myself. Yesterday I did 43 miles out around Loch Raven, around 2600' on one Clif bar and half bottle of Gatorade. On the way back down Providence though I lost steam. Beautiful time of year to be riding.
Been doing more running lately though as my time is tight. Did a 5k on Saturday to set a benchmark, way harder for me than cycling, HR right up into low 170s and pretty much stayed there for the 30 minutes it took me to complete.
GB-let me know when your next century is. I'm marking my calendar for a DC rand ride out of Woodbine in mid December.
