Looks like everyone had lots of biking this weekend. I rode the W. MD trail w/ my wife. I figured the trees would be great. Some were nice but most were drab. Traffic also sucked(major backup on I-70). The trail itself was really nice and weather perfect.
josh: bummer about the boink. I know the feeling. I looked at your food, that's what I eat when I don't do anything. You really need to eat a lot more. When I ride long distances I am a big fan of steel cut oats for breakfast. A long slow burn. Another great food is hummus, easy to digest. Save the Gu for late in the ride as you near boinking. Gu will mess w/ your stomach, so will power and cliff bars. Eating while you ride is tough. I often don't feel hungry on long rides. I was told(by ultra long distance cyclits) you should "real" food every hour.
You rode on I-70 WTF!
NR: Williamsport ride, did you guys eat at Roses cafe in town? Great little place w/ an excellent owner/cook/hostess. Riding if fog You rode on Sat, with the rain?? That was a nasty day.
