1" x 12" copper pipe spliced down 3" vertically into quarters and a hammer to pop off the headset races on the head tube
nail guide and hammer to pop off and re-attach the fork headset race.
threaded rod with nuts and washers with some brass 3/4" couplings to drive the headset cups back onto the headtube.
Yeah, $30 would raise the cost of the build by 15-20% right now, I am doing this on the cheap. I am trying to spend around $250 maximum to build a basically new bike. I think it is doable.
