The Illuminite coating is non-breathable - I bought a pair of tights with Illuminite panels, and they don't breathe at all. So, the way Performance has it applied, you'll be sweaty/clammy on your arms and cold on your chest.

I like the LG better. They make good quality stuff and IMO the wind block should be on your chest, not your arms. Your mileage may vary. If you want reflectivity, get over to the commuting forum and find a link to 3M SONUS tape, and have your local tailor sew a bunch on.
