Theoretically, there can always be a compatibility issue even if you get the same exact wheel. For practical purposes it is seldom a problem. I have several wheelsets that I have moved from one bike to another, probably had 4 different rear wheels on any particular bike at some time or other with no problem. Just slap one of your wheels on there to see if it works, maybe even try someone else's as well. If you know anyone with the type wheel you are considering see if you can try theirs in particular. This will tell you if her bike/wheel setup is pretty standard. It literally only takes a few minutes and no cost to do a little experimentation on something like this.
Think about it:
BB shell on all bikes these days are the same (barring extreme mfr tolerance deviations).
So all cranks are basically designed to put the chainrings in the same position relative to the bb shell.
These two parts are pretty well standardized.
So all wheels almost have to be set up with the cassette to be in the same position relative to the chainrings, again, assuming no tolerance extremes or proprietary games.
