I went and got my bike fitted on sunday, and the day after, I went for a quick 40 miler, and about a half hour from home, my knee really started to act up. it was pretty bad, and I almost didn't make it home. I was seriosuly thinking about taking off my shoes and just walking it in. but it was getting dark, so I rode easy and got back.

once I had gotten back, I went ahead and restored my old position to the best of my ability, and took the next day off. The odd thing about the pain was that as soon as I got off my bike, there was no pain whatsoever. I was fine walking around and doing whatever.

I went for a ride today, I planned a 70 miler, since my knee was feeling good yesterday. however, about a half-hour in, my knee starts to act up again, in the same place as on monday. it didn't hurt that bad, but I decided to turn around instead of being stuck 35 miles out. so I'm sitting here, with a bag of ice on my knee, and two aleve's in my system.

I'm thinking that the fitting kinda messed me up. however, the coach/fitter guy didn't touch my cleats, pretty much all he did was raise my seat a mm or two.

so pretty much, I was wondering if it was an existing condition that caused the problem or what. I did do 110 miles the day before the fitting, but I rode the day of the fitting (before) and I had no pain.

I think I need a physical therapist/sports doctor/bike fitter. I've got 1 more exam after today, and then I'm headed home until the 10th of january, so I need a fitter in Maryland. does anyone know of anybody that'll do a cleat alignment? I've got speedplays, but I think I still need to set up the fore/aft and side to side of them better, becuase I think that's whats causeing my troubles.

and BTW, the pain was on the inside/back of my knee on my left knee. basically, if you take your hand and put it on the back of your left knee and move it all the way to the right...the pain is in that tendon/ligament/ropy thing there.
