I partially redeemed myself today, riding into a sustained 20-25mph headwind. Cost me nearly 10 minutes extra time! "RealFeel" temp was below freezing, apparently, though it didn't feel that bad. Since we're on the "what I wore" tip, I put on regular bike shorts w/ wool knee warmers, thin sleeveless base layer, SS jersey w/ wool arm warmers, nylon shell jacket, wool socks with toe covers on the bike shoes, cycling cap, Windstopper gloves and my FC Barcelona stretchy-tube-o-synthetic-fabric as a neck gaiter. My extermities were a bit chilly but it was very manageable. It was weird, though, to be in climbing gears at 12mph on stretches where I'd normally be cruising at 19-20mph.
