4000?

I brought my odometer into the house last night to show the wife that it was at 3992. (I'm sure you can guess where this is going). Two miles in on my 12.5 commute I realize that I left it on the table.

Too late to go back, so I've finished 4000 for the year, but I have nothing to show.

The question is should I advance it when I get home to 4017 or suck it up and celebrate tomorrow?
