I am in the same position except I have no bike at all. I had an off-road that I sold and I borrowed a friends 18 yr old road bike for my only triathlon.

Are there a lot of people that would have a second or third bike lying around that they would be willing to loan out for a race or am I just fooling myself?

I can in no way afford a bike at this time but I would really like to do another race.

Any thoughts?
