I just bought a bunch of Husky LED headlamps at HD for me and family. They were $4.99 each, take 3 AAA's and seem to be well worth the price. I'm not sure who makes the emitter but they have low, high and flash modes, the controls are workable with mittens (BTDT already this year) and they seem to be pretty well made. They say '1 Watt' on them and are in the bargin bins up near the front doors.
