The point I tried to make is this:

Not as exciting to watch = less viewers = less sponshorship dollars = not as many opportunites = less participation = less elite riders = fields not as deep = less events at the olympics.

By saying that I don't think I am claiming women are inferior or that they shouldn't have the opportunities to participate. It all comes down to money, no matter what sport.
