I use QR on both of my FG bikes.

I have a hollow axle Phil Wood high flange hubs for my clincher wheelset on my Waterford which is secured with old school steel Campy straight skewers. It never slips. The steel internal cam locks never do if you tighten them properly. My tubular wheels uses steel 15mm nuts to hold onto the DA high flange pista hubs. There is no slipping in either set.

On my conversion, both sets of wheels use Campy Record (steel) QR w/o problems.

The 15mm wrench is kinda heavy but if you use one, the Campy Peanut Wrench is the best!
