No problems with Saddle/knee position. The only problem is I had to replace my seatpost on my '88 and my new Ultegra seatpost isn't that compatible with my Brooks Swallow. For comfortable use of the drops I need a little bit more "nose drop" than what I have available; however, for charity rides which is what I use the bike for I'm hardly ever in the drops so it's kind of a non issue. As for the '07, the Geometry is very close to the '88, but the top tube slopes back toward the seat. It's also different in being Aluminum. Angles might be a little more slack as it allows for fatter tires and fenders. Fit and feel are identical between the two bikes. In fact I suspect that the '07 would make a terrific tourer with drop bars.

The one area where you might see a difference is some women have longer torsos so that might factor into your bike design.
