I find the bars designed for STI shifters (single groove) are better when riding without hoods attached. They usually have a flatter portion before the bend starts where you can curl your fingers underneath. The double groove bars are usually meant for Campy and tend to slope downward in a more traditional bend.
Something with a bend like the FSA Energy or Ritchey WCS is what I use. They both come in a round bend if that's more your style.
I really like old road drops, they are generally a little shallower and have no cable routing grooves.
