I did my very first triathlon today and I'd say the majority of the folks competing were on road bikes. There were those there that had some very nice Tri bikes, but most of road the roadies and did fine. There were also a few there on MTBs and one guy even had a baby carrier on his MTB, luckily I finished ahead of him.
