Melinkovitch and Brent (pencil neck) at Oak Bay are excellent mechanics, when I don't know how to do something they always do, and do it well. Melinkovitch is a wizard with old bikes and puts is a bunch of time at Recyclistas as well, he's good stuff. Brent is super thorough and really gets the job done on the new stuff.
I've got no idea who is any good at Russ Hay's anymore but back when I worked there we were always lending out specialized tools (mostly to Physical Culture it seemed) but I haven't been into that shop in ages so I have no idea if they're still into lending out tools.
I don't think that we've met, but if you see a dude wrapped head to toe in Oak Bay kit, probably goofing off and getting waybaked on the side of the trail, riding the gayest purple Stumpjumper ever, with a bunch of other similar dudes, that's me!
We hijacked the hell out of this thread! Now I feel like I should bend a fork just to make it up to the OP!
