You must know how mechanics are, we are all very anal about our machines.. most of time, aside from beater bikes. I have enough "good" mechanics screw **** up that no one touches my bikes unless I am overseeing it.
I cannot sympathize with you more. I wouldn't feel comfortable with anyone sticking their fingers on my machines - and in the rare cases I have something that I do not have the tool for, I'll search high and low for an example of that tool for sale rather then have a shop touch it.
