It goes back to common sense. Most of the people that believe they are safer riding on the wrong side of the road or on sidewalks do not have any. The question now becomes do we have to post signs that tell people the correct things to do, Well they will not read them anyway, even if they know how to read. The common sense thing is in all life, why do we have to put caution labels on lawn mowers tell people not to place their hands or feet under the deck while the blades are spinning. To me it just makes sense that you do not stick anything you want to keep in a place where there is a sharp piece of steel spinning at 6oo RPMs, or am I the stupid one that does not need these bright flashy caution signs. It is the same with cycling people just think they can do what they want and any accident will always be the other guys fault.
