I'm juiced as hell that Obama won, and he deserves all the goodwill that he's received. Nobody in generations has hyped people up more than he has, and that kind of hope is an awesome sight to behold. But lets not jump the gun and expect him to fix our economy and the world's, stabilize Iraq, unite the government, heal racial divides, repair the U.S.'s image in the international community, create affordable health care, lower educational costs, walk on water and start doing backwards wheelies before he's even been inaugurated. When this much is expected of him, there's going to be nowhere to go but down if he doesn't live up to some unreal expectations. It's good to be enthusiastic, but lets temper it with a bit of reality. Change isn't going to happen this year and probably not next year either. There's too much happening for it all to be affected at once. I'm not hoping for Obama to make the boat fly, I just want him to stop it from sinking.
