Both my wife and I are avid hunters, fishermen, and general outdoor nuts… we enjoy Deer hunting with archery equipment in particular though. Indiana’s early archery season for Deer started Oct.1, so we have been hunting for over a month now. My wife took her first ever Deer with a Bow second week of this season, she is quite happy with it… he weighed in field dressed at 180 lbs, and is being scored as a 9 point because of some kickers on the antler bases. A couple of people have estimated the antler’s in the 135 range… so we are going to wait the required time and have them officially measured. 135 is right at the lower limit for entry into the Pope & Young record book. Even if the Deer doesn’t make P&Y, my wife is absolutely thrilled, and we are having the head done by a taxidermist. Our freezer is full, and he is a Deer of great taste...
