This would be a non-ideal approach to getting a singlespeed. You can't just slap on a freewheel on the wheel in post #1 and expect it to work without chainline issues. If the OP wants to do it properly, he either gets a cassette rear wheel and a singlespeed kit, exactly as depicted in post #3.

Or he gets a flip/flop rear wheel and throws that shimano freewheel on there. So in pictorials you either have:
Just because the setup he was asking about isn't ideal doesn't make me wrong. I gave him the advice he was asking for , and I was right. He asked what would fit on that wheel and I told him. Also, there's nothing wrong with him doing it the way he wanted to originally. $50 bucks for everything, that's a great way to get started in SS. Plus, chainline is not crucial on a single speed.
