Also +1 on Wilson over Finch - less rollers and just generally a better ride - I take it eastbound between Keele and ~Bathurst or Avenue unless I bother to cross Yonge - with my current 80GI I really don't fancy that yet though .

If you can pre-plan your route (in the dark might be tricky) - the Humber trail is definitely really nice, though IMO it's something more for a daytime ride, I don't like MUPs at night (short of having some serious lighting anyway).

I'll likely be up at Keele/Steeles for the rest of the week - If you want some company for some of the way, that's cool - let me know/PM me - I usually leave that area at 5-5:30ish. I'll take the opportunity to ride east over to my buddies.
