If you are actually able to think ahead and remember to slow down for the dime, go for it. But if you just see it and think "there's that dime again!" and you'd have to go back for it, it's too late. Try again tomorrow.

My guess: now that you've taken the time to post about it, it will be sufficiently etched in your mind that you'll pick it up next time.
