It's been awhiole since Shimano's Ultegra level group was called 600. I'm thinking older than 1997. You might check when Shimano stopped calling it 600.

Another thing to note is the threaded headset, and steel steerer on the fork, add at least a pound over a modern bike with cf steerer and threadless headset.
