Grand Mesa is west of Glenwood, between GW and Grand Junction. The route up to Grand Mesa (the largecst flat top mesa in the world) from I-70 is a tremendously challenging upgrade, often featured in the Ride the Rockies bicycle tour. Grand Mesa is at about 10,000 feet, so you have about a 5,000 elevation change.
