Sorry uke I had to jump on the bashing bandwagon..I did a 250 mile(in 4 days) fund raising ride this past summer and one of the guys was using platforms. He was a beast and outrode me on the whole ride. I prefer clipless ,but I do lunchtime rides with regular shoes on my clipless pedals. I'm not hammering so it's good enough to get out for a short ride. That's what makes the sport great we can set our bike up the way we like it...
