Good grief this is being ridiculous. Sheldon's bicycle items are just inanimate objects and I'm sure he would be happy to know that they will be used and (hopefully) lovingly cared for as he did with his Brooks saddles. Having said that I hope that his items for sale will go to someone who knows who he is and appreciates what he has contributed to cycling.
I hear you, smurfy. But if I were to buy a saddle that I plan to use as just another "inanimate" object, then I'd buy a brand new Brooks Pro for less money. As it is, the bidding is over $150 for the Brooks from Sheldon's collection. To me, a bicycle item from the Sheldon's collection means something. I would imagine this is why you yourself suggested a small "museum of sort" featuring Sheldon's bicycle stuff that are "displayed and not for sale."
