That area is full of jammed barely moving traffic which is for good for bikes. Although, I think Wilshire Blvd & Westwood Blvd intersection had the most regular volume of cars in a afternoon than any other intersection in the USA. Depending on where your going to live but riding a bike to UCLA isn't too bad and well worth it with the really bad traffic and scarce parking in UCLA area.
